Just 75 miles north of downtown Phoenix, is Mortimer Family Farms. The 5K and 1 mile fun run will take place during the 3 day Sweet Corn Festival. Bring everyone up to enjoy the weekend in Dewey and Prescott.
The 5K course follows farm roads as it weaves through the farmland for a unique tour of the different crops currently planted on what used to be the Historic Young's Farm in Dewey, AZ. This event will be timed. Start Time is 8:00am Check-in opens at 6:30am Awards at 10:00am Age group divisions will be: 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over for both men and women. Prizes will be given to the top 3 finishers in each division of the 5K event. All finishers will recieve a Sweet Corn Festival dog tag. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk also follows farm roads, however it is a much flatter course, great for kids, joggers, and walkers of all fitness levels. This event will not be timed. Start Time is 9:00am Check-in opens at 6:30am All finishers will recieve a Sweet Corn Festival dog tag. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to the Yavapai Food Bank to help those less fortunate. Please feel free to bring canned food to donate at the Festival.
