Hot Pursuit 8K (1st Annual)

Inaugural Hot Pursuit 8K, non-sanctioned hilly course winding through scenic residential neighborhoods. Come out and enjoy our perfect spring weather and get tuned up for the rest of your spring races!

Last Minute Registration

Last Minute Registration will be held during Packet Pick Up on Fri., March 2nd between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and again on Race Day beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 10:30 a.m. Southern Town Hall,5375 N. Virginia Dare Trail, Southern Shores. Ample public parking available.

Packet Pick-Up

Scheduled for Fri., March 2nd between the hours of 4 and 6 p.m., and again on Race Day beginning at 9 a.m. and concluding at 10:30 a.m. at the Pitts Center (Southern Town Hall), located at 5375 N. Virginia Dare Trail, Southern Shores. Ample public parking available. DO NOT park at the Southern Shores Police Department (clearly marked). Overspill parking may be located at the Southern Shores Crossing Shopping Plaza.

Directions

At the intersection of 158 and Highway 12 in Kitty Hawk; proceed north on 12 (Ocean Boulevard) and make immediate left to access the Southern Shores Town Hall. Parking will be well marked. This is also the location to be dropped off it you are not planning on parking at this locale.

Racecourse

A challenging, hilly 8K route through residential neighborhoods. It will begin on Skyline Dr. and connect to Spindrift Tr. via a towpath. The course will be marked & staffed by both volunteers and police. Water Station/Portable Toilet will be located at corner of Clamshell & Chicahauk Tr. (approx. 2 mile mark). Registration Limit

Registration is limited to assure a safe & fun event. Bandits compromise safety and damage the good will are establishing with the Town of Southern Shores. PLEASE do not ruin the event for others. Registrations are NOT transferable/refundable. As this is a charitable event, please understand that we cannot absorb the cost of mailing unclaimed packets.

Run for a Purpose

We're running to honor our fallen heroes, officers killed in the line of duty. Funds raised will be used to support the local community service projects of the Outer Banks FOP.
