The Races
Each race in the series is briefly described below. More information on the races will be available as they go on line. E-mails will be sent to all registered for the series about the details of each race...such as packet pick up, race time, etc...Please be sure to check the www.geauxracing.com website from time to time for further info as well!
Race Fees & Limited Entries
Registering now for the series will save you money on race fees if you are planning to do several races throughout the year. Further, entry into the series is limited to the first 200 to register. CajunMan sells out annually and Oxbow looks like it may close out early as well. Registering for the series will guarantee you a spot in these races!
Points
The Louisiana Endurance Series will award points to the top 3 overall male and female, top 3 masters male & female, and the top 3 male and female in each age group from each race. At the Voo Du Duathlons, awards will be presented to the top 2 points earners in each category. You must be registered for the series for points to be eligible to earn points. You must race 3 of the 5 events to be eligible to win series awards.
Series Fees
The race fees for the series are $245.00 through February 12; $275.00 through March 4; $300.00 until March 22, 2012. March 22, 2012 is the last day to register for the series.
Oxbow Registered/Series Fees
You took advantage of the early rates and already registered for the March 24, 2012 Oxbow Triathlon? No problem. You can still register for the series.The race fees for the series if already registered for Oxbow are: $195 through February 12; $225 through March 4; $250 until March 22, 2012. March 22, 2012 is the last day to register for the series.
Race Series Shirts
All registered before March 10 will get a Louisiana Endurance Series shirt. Please register before March 10, 2012 to insure that you'll get the race series shirt that you want. We cannot guarantee availability and/or size after that date!
Oxbow Triathlon
The Oxbow Triathlon is March 24, 2012 in New Roads, LA. This 800 swim, 18 mi bike, 5K run is a great way to kick off your tri season. Get ready for Holy Toledo or the New Orleans 5150/70.3.
Tri New Roads
This June 16, 2012 Super Sprint tri is flat, fast, and fun! Whether just venturing into multisport, doing your first open water swim, or a vintage triathlete, this is your race! This 400 swim/12 mi bike/2 mile run is a New Roads favorite!
CajunMan
Yup, the fabulous CajunMan Triathlon in Lafayette, LA is a jewel in the crown of the Louisiana Endurance Series. September 9, 2012. This race will sell out. Reserve your spot now!!
The Big Cajun Tri
This Olympic Distance triathlon is a great way to wind down the tri season or to get ready for IM Florida. The Sunday, Oct 21, 2012 race is part of the New Roads, LA Harvest Festival weekend. There will be a road race the day (Saturday) before and an Aquabike and United States Masters Swimming open water race will accompany the triathlon. This is a big endurance weekend in Louisiana!
Voo Doo Duathlon
The Voo Doo Duathlon is currently scheduled for Sunday, November 4, 2012. (It could be rescheduled for Sun, Oct 28.) As before, we'll offer the Big Voo Du (5K run/18 mi bike/5K run); Little Voo Du (2 mi run/10 mi bike/2 mi run); and Dirty Voo Du (2 mi run/8 mi mtb/2 mi run) PLUS the Jack O'Lantern Jog 5K & 2 mi! The race venue is currently planned to be Farr Park, River Road, Baton Rouge or WalMart Parking lot, West Baton Rouge, Port Allen. We'll let you know as soon as we've got this tied down!
USA Triathlon Sanctioned Races
All races will be USAT sanctioned. USAT rules will apply...including wetsuit rules!!! All participants must either be a USAT annual member OR purchase 1-Day licenses @ $12.00 per race. It is suggested that if you are doing the series, you purchase an annual license from USAT. For more information on USA Triathlon and to join, see www.usatriathlon.org or call 719/597-9090. USAT rules shall be enforced. You are responsible for knowing the USAT race rules!
Refunds & Race Delays
There are no refunds. The race will take place rain or shine BUT the race director reserves the right to modify the course or change the start time of the race for the safety of the participants.
Post Race Parties and Awards Ceremonies
Be sure to hang around and enjoy a post race parties following the race. The awards ceremonies will be held as soon as possible following the races. Unclaimed awards will not be mailed.
Race Awards
Awards in each race: The top overall male and female, master’s male and female, and grandmaster male and female winners will receive awards. Awards will also be given to the top 3 male and female triathletes in 14 and under age group and 5 year age groups from 15-70+.
