This fast new 5K course begins at the top of Mt. Wilkerson in Vinings, winds around the Cumberland Mall area, and ends at the Lovett School (280-foot net drop). The 1-Mile Fun Run begins and ends at the Vinings Jubilee.
The race is sponsored by Vinings Rotary and benefits Calvary Children's Home, The Good Samaritan Health Center and the Vinings Rotary Charity Fund.

5K and 1 Mile Courses

T-Shirts
Your T-shirt selection will be printed on your race number. Registrants are guaranteed a Dri Fit or Cotton T-shirt (your choice) if registered by July 31. Extra cotton shirts will be handed out to late registrants (Aug.1 through Race Day) while they last.
Awards
5K Awards for top M/F Overall, Master, Grandmaster and top 3 in 14 age groups from 10u to 70yr. Runners will be electronically timed. Awards will be based on "gun" time. Awards will be presented at post party at Jublilee. 1-Mile Awards - Trophies for top 3 in 12 &Under Boys and Girls. Medals for all participants 12&Under.
Post Race Party at Vinings Jubilee & Buses
After the 5K you may ride the bus from the Finish Line to the Vinings Jubilee for the post race party or you may choose to walk the 1 mile trip. After the awards ceremony you may ride the bus back to the Overlook ll or lll parking garage or you may walk the 1/2 mile trip. .
Directions to 5K Start/Race Number Pick up
The Overlook III Bldg address is 2859 Paces Ferry. Follow Paces Ferry Road down the hill inside I-285 about 1/2 mile to the OVERLOOK sign on the left. Follow the signs for the race parking up the hill. Parking will be a the Overlook ll & lll Buildings. Registration and race number pick-up will be in front of the Printpack Building at the top of the hill.
Phantom Runner
Want to support the Vinings Down Hill 5K but can't make it on race day? Register as a Phantom Runner by Aug. 15th and we'll send you an official race shirt. Fee is $30.00.
Race Day Registration
The 5K course is limited to 1500 runners. If the 5K race is not full(check race website www.viningsdownhill5k.com), we will open race day registration at 7:00AM at the Printpack building. Race Day Cost $40.
