Pre-registration: Individual 5K-$25.00, Military 5K-$20.00 or Individual 1 Mile- $20.00; Day-Of Registration-add $5.00.

This is the second Alabama Nature Center (ANC) Critter Crawl 5K!! The Critter Crawl is a 5K TRAIL RUN benefiting the ANC education programs that takes runners through a portion of the ANC's 5 mile trail system. There will also be a 1 mile race beginning at 10:00 am. Moisture wicking shirts are guaranteed for participants registering before February 6, 2012. Shirts come in Mens, Ladies and Kids sizes! Extras will be ordered but run out fast.

5k starts at 9:00 am and 1 mile starts at 10:00 am. Both races start and finish at the ANC pavilion. Please see www.alabamawildlife.org or call 334-285-4550 for more details and map. Participants may pick up their race packets Friday February 17 8am-5pm.

Directions

From Montgomery, take Interstate 65 North to Exit 179. Turn right off the interstate onto Cobbs Ford Road. Take the first left just past the hotels (Edgewood Drive) and continue to the "t" intersection. Take a right and continue .3 miles to Lanark Road on your left. At the end of Lanark Road is the entrance to the Alabama Nature Center.

Location and Trail Details

The Alabama Nature Center includes 350 acres of striking forests, fields, streams, wetlands and ponds that are traversed by five miles of boardwalks and trails. All trails are handicap accessible and consist of a wide gravel base topped with mulch chips.

Awards

There will be prizes for male and female overall, Masters (40+) and Grand Masters (50+). Also, three deep in the following age groups: 8 and under, 9-12, 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+
